"Come quickly! It tastes like stars."
— Dom Pérignon, on tasting his first Champagne
Champagne houses are like global celebrities. Their famous cuvées are always in the spotlight — served at royal receptions, featured in films, and popped open with a splash at the finish line of Formula 1 races. As the team at Moët & Chandon loves to say, paradise lies underground — in the cellars. For over 250 years, the people of Champagne have lived quite literally above a vast network of wine caves stretching for tens of kilometres. On this journey, you'll discover five exceptional Champagne houses and hear the captivating stories of their legendary winemakers.
